“We initially put our house on the market in the summer of 2024.”
Our former agent, who had retired, referred us to a new agent to sell our house. He assured us he could sell our house in short order. We had our house on the market for two months with no bites - many open houses, many viewings, but no offers. We took it off the market until this year. This year, before we put it on the market again, we interviewed a few agents, and selected Bill Kauffman from the three we spoke with. We met with Bill, who suggested a game plan - put the house online a week or two to generate “buzz” before it is actually up for sale, have an on-line virtual tour of the house, then have a couple open houses and viewings the first weekend it was on the market. Bill worked very hard to stick to this plan. The first weekend the house was actually on the market we had a few viewings on Friday night, an open house and a few viewings on Saturday, and a few viewings and an open house on Sunday. We had two offers by Saturday night, then one more by Sunday night. By Monday morning, after the three potential buyers were done bidding, we were offered $23K over asking price. Bill Kauffman did a great job selling our house. He made a plan, stuck to the plan, and sold our house. I strongly encourage anyone selling their house to select Bill Kaufman as their agent. We did, and, as a result, we are now retired and living in Florida.

At that point, we decided we needed to switch it up and try a new agent. Bill came in as a referral through friends, and we knew he was different because a) his approach was very customized; he took the time to really find a house that met our "list". He didn't just blast us a bunch of random houses, b) he was really warm and friendly - so not sleazy like the typical realtor and lastly c) he genuinely seemed like he cared about our situation and about us. He found us our house after working with him for only a few months. He made us feel comfortable and confident during the offer and negotiation process, and feel like if we didn't work with him, we probably would've lost the house. He gave valuable insight and strategy when we made our offer and I truly feel like it made a difference. Overall, great experience, and overall, he's a great guy!
